| Patrick Myers Update | Defenders of Freedom |
Patrick was welcomed home on August 17th with a true hero's welcome. After 21 months of rehab at Brooke Army Medical Center, Patrick is home! The Ft. Worth Police, DPS, and the Southern Cruisers all met up with Patrick just south of Crowley, TX. They escorted him to his home where he was greeted by Patriot Guard Riders, who had lined his street with 50 American Flags, well wishers and the mobile Liberty Bell. As Patrick drove down his street the sirens were blaring, the Liberty Bell tolled as well wishers clapped and cheered. Channel 8 news covered the story live, and their helicopters got some wonderful aerial views. It was a wonderful day, Defenders of Freedom would like to thank everyone who was involved. Patrick, we are proud of you and stand firmly with you as you move into your next adventures.
Patrick's house is almost completed with the adaptations made for his disabilities. His doorways have all been widened, tile has been put in the whole first floor, a chair lift is mounted on his staircase, and ramps have been put at his entry doors. The bathroom is in the process of having some adaptations as well.
