Please join us on July 18, 2019 for our next speaker, Adam Schumann. Adam was born and spent most of his childhood in North Dakota. He joined the Army Infantry in February of 2002 in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, serving until March of 2009. He deployed to Iraq on 3 occasions. 

Spending a total of 34 months in combat. His last deployment is chronicled in a book
"The Good Soldiers." And another book and film "Thank You For Your Service,"  as made about his after war experience.  After his service he graduated and worked as a peer support counselor for "The Pathway Home." A residential treatment center for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans with PTSD and TBI. 

Most recently he worked as a military advisor on 2 films. "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk," and Thank You For Your Service."  

Currently residing in his home state of North Dakota and working as a farm hand.  He spends his free time with his 2 children, fishing and hunting as much as possible.
